The-Folio-Society-Mina-Bach-04

I feel I have been incredibly lucky to work with some of my favourite publishers, authors and illustrators (it is a long list so definitely excited for future projects!) but when the opportunity came to work for The Folio Society, I truly couldn’t believe my luck. Founded in London in 1947, The Folio Society publishes illustrated hardback editions of classic fiction and non-fiction books with good…

Loved this BBC documentary about the importance of book cover design over the decades. Interesting to see David Pearson discussing the past covers for ‘1984’ by George Orwell now he has recently re-designed it for Penguin, via The Book Design Blog The Beauty of Books: Paperback Writer from The BDB on Vimeo.

They created a new typeface for it: ‘Transport’ and improved the way we travel and live through simple, effective design.
