☞ Read MoreThe 4th Issue of Burst Magazine came out today with 80 pages packed with up and coming talent, this issue focuses on character design and has interviews with the likes of Gavin Strange, Jake Ivill (who illustrated the amazing robot on the cover), George Mackay and Squink!
I was very lucky to have a feature on Issue 2 a few months back so when Ali (the mastermind behind Burst) emailed me about contributing to the new section ‘Designers Desk’ I could not refuse. Even if that meant my mess would be exposed to the world, shame on me!. If you want a better look (can you spot Marlon Brando?) and get to know 21 up and coming illustrators and designers, Issue 4 of Burst Magazine is available to download as a PDF here.
Just a quick note to say my ‘You are not alone Japan’ illustration has been included in spanish site Graffica as part of their Designers for Japan campaign trying to give support and hope through what they know and love best: Design. Gracias Graffica! And thanks to my dear friend Patricia for making me aware.
Hot off the (virtual) press Issue #2 of Burst Magazine featuring 21 young UK creatives under the theme ‘LOVE’, how very Valentine’s!. Designed and edited by Ali Salih this issue is all about red&pink&hearts which is really not my thing but Ali managed to make it work so well I love it. The layout is very clear and easy to read with Rockwell as the headline type. Such a lovely surprise to find my friend Sky Nash in it, she does beautiful book structures and childrens illustration turn to page 37 for her feature and check out her blog.
And on page 33… it’s me!

Ballad Of… recently featured my Tattoo project on their ‘Brand New Art we Heart’ site. Thank you very much ladies, what an honour! Published bi annually they also put on exhibitions, events and all sorts of exciting collaborations. Can’t wait to submit work for the next issue, the theme is to do with Animals, a first for me.
